Cinco De Mayo inspiration - file it away for next year ;) Camille Styles together with her team Chanel and Jen pulled together this mid-afternoon happy hour soiree to celebrate May 5. Sangria, shredded chicken and guacamole tostadas, and delicious watermelon and feta bites, staples really, were all served along side a succulent center piece and lacy table topper. The afternoon progressed to a custom photobooth with hand made Spanish flags. It's a great day to spend with friends!

Together, The Honest Co. with Jessica Alba and The Simplifiers hosted the most adorable Vintage Garden Party-themed baby shower for Austin's deserving mom Chelsee and deserving dad John. The couple were honored by the Honest Co. along with three other couples nationwide who were hand-selected to win a whirlwind soiree for themselves and 18 guests. Whole Foods Culinary Center was the location for this swanky affair that was very nearly rained out. The food from Whole foods, the blooms from Stems, and the colorful mismatched goblets and china from LOOT Vintage Rental came together flawlessly to make this "Garden Party" come to life! Brandi + Dean, married on New Years Eve at One World Theatre in Austin, Tx. It was an uncharacteristically foggy afternoon, unique and beautiful.
Recently Engaged - Jette' -N- Del. They met and fell in love while sampling Austin culinary offerings. They dined at Lenoir the night they became engaged. It was only fitting they would return to the fated restaurant for their big announcement. Their friends are like minded foodies as well, so the couple decided to throw a dinner party to make the announcement, but first to follow their food theme, they made a hand crafted chocolate invitation that was hand delivered to their guests. Guests arrived and enjoyed cocktails in the courtyard, while Courtney and Paul Sanchez played live. Then they were invited inside where they enjoyed a 4 course wine tasting menu. The room was a flutter with conversation and laughter, except when the food arrive for each course, there was a collective quiet in the room while guests enjoyed each course. Jette's and Dell quietly and quite intimately shared their plates with one another. So CUTE! The perfect night cap, Erin Ivey playing "Chocolate" in French and in English. The night was simply... delicious.

I don't know if you've ever seen "The Birds" by Alred Hitchcock... I saw it at the Paramount Theatre in late summer. I'm not afraid of birds and the movie didn't scare me, but coming out of the theatre in the late summer with all of the grackles flocking in the trees and in the area overhead... well let's just say I noticed them a little more that night ;)
